Public Health Toolkit for Addressing the Opioid Epidemic Now Available

The Massachusetts Health Officers Association (MHOA) recently released Essential Measures: A Local Public Health Toolkit for Addressing the Opioid Epidemic. The toolkit is intended to be used as a framework to plan from, initiate, expand upon, and collaborate on strategies available to LHDs to address the opioid epidemic. Notably, the toolkit’s framework encompasses the 10 Essential Services of Public Health and details best practices from communities that can easily be adapted in implemented in other jurisdictions.
