We are excited to announce that the Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services Public Health and the Pasadena Public Health Department were awarded national Public Health Accreditation status by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) last week. To date, seven of California’s local health departments have achieved Accreditation status, in addition to the California Department of Public Health.
Please join us in congratulating the hard work and success of our colleagues in Humboldt and Pasadena! The official press release can be found here.
The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) has released information regarding the awards for Whole Person Care (WPC) pilot projects. To date, 17 of the 18 projects have been awarded, with one pending pilot application. Award amounts can be found here.
DHCS also released a current overview of WPC, which includes a summary of the target populations, care coordination strategies, and services and interventions of the first round applications.
As previously announced, DHCS will solicit a second round of applications from both new and first round applicants. First round applicants may amend approved applications to add new target populations and/or services and interventions. The second round of applications is due on March 1, 2017.
