Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Grant Program
The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) just released a new request for proposals for the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) Grant Program. Modeled after the LEAD Project in Seattle, Washington, up to three jurisdictions will be selected for a two-year pilot program that would divert low-level drug offenders and those arrested for prostitution to social service providers in lieu of prosecution. Local health departments are active participants in the model, and the BSCC wanted to ensure health departments were aware of the RFP’s release. More information can be found here.
